MTBA is proud to announce that we are now an Ottawa Green Business (OGB) Member! This means that we, alongside many other Ottawa businesses, are committed to reducing our impact on the environment in the short-term and moving towards net-zero emissions by 2050 (or sooner).

The OGB Membership Program, run by the EnviroCentre, provides support for businesses to better quantify their environmental impact, set up effective sustainability plans, and achieve carbon neutrality targets through access to tools, resources and coaching. While we will be addressing all environmental impacts (including waste management and supplies), OGB doubles down on carbon as the ‘single biggest thing’ businesses can act on to reduce their environmental impact – and we concur!

MTBA has worked extensively over the years pushing for the conservation and sustainable retrofit of existing buildings to save on embodied – as well as operational – carbon in the built environment, and we strongly believe in the importance of carrying out these values in our own practice and daily lives. That’s why we are excited to work alongside OGB to minimize our carbon footprint as much as possible and encourage other local businesses to do the same.
