As part of the 27th cycle of the World Architecture Awards, the Sir John A Macdonald Building in Ottawa, Canada was selected as an award winner for a realized building.  Of note, this award places the building  on the worldwide architectural stage aligning it with other high quality architecture from countries including Saudi Arabia, Portugal, Australia, China, India, Kazakhstan, and Costa Rica.  It was the only realized project to receive an award from within North America during the current cycle.
