Careers

Our approach to work and studio culture focuses on collaboration, as the nature of our work involves a larger project team. A small studio of ten people, collaboration is valued in our firm-effort to invest in professional growth and leadership, at the intersection of environmental and cultural conservation. Our active initiatives include Building Resilience, APTI leadership, co-founding the ZNCC, and docomomo Ontario leadership. Working at TRACE means active participation in the design, sustainability and conservation of our local community.

Who We Are

We’re an Ottawa-based architecture, urbanism and conservation studio with more than 35 years of experience and a growing clientele for sites and locations across Canada. We specialize in sustainability and heritage places and have worked on a number of sites with National importance including: the Sir John A. Our private sector partners include Canada’s leading developers, who value historic places as key components of urban intensification and sustainable cities.
